Home Improvements with the EmPower+
ENERGY STAR has served as the standard for providing home energy efficiency since 1992. Not only have Americans saved more than five trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity, but they have also saved approximately $500 billion as a result of improved home performance with ENERGY STAR equipment.
A variety of products are available from manufacturers designed to help Americans save approximately $450 on energy bills, simply by upgrading to ENERGY STAR-rated products.
We understand that paying for upgraded equipment out of pocket can make these upgrades feel impossible. That’s why we offer the EmPower+.
What is the NYSERDA EmPower+?
Offered in partnership with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, this limited-time program will pay up to $5,000 for energy upgrades.
Standard will work with you to demonstrate how the systems in your home can work together to save money and improve the comfort level of the home.
How Does it Work?
The NYSERDA EmPower+ is designed to make it more affordable for homeowners in New York State to boost their energy efficiency. That’s why we start by performing a thorough NYSERDA-approved energy audit.
Our auditor will assess the entire home, taking into consideration your lifestyle, the condition of the home, and its current energy performance. During the assessment, Standard’s expert will talk to you about comfort issues and any concerns you may have in addition to evaluating the potential money that could be saved with the recommended improvements.
As part of the assessment, our expert will inspect the home and complete an energy audit including safety testing. Once completed, we will recommend improvements to help minimize the amount of energy wasted by the home. The technician will walk you through every detail to make sure you know what to expect and provide the necessary resources to get started.
You can trust our BPI GoldStar professionals to provide an expert assessment for your home.
EmPower+ uses a network of independent contractors recognized by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as BPI GoldStar Contractors.
BPI is a national resource for building science technology that sets standards for assessing and improving the energy performance of homes.
