Since 2013, Standard has helped over 17,000 New York households reduce energy costs and improve comfort through the Empower Program — delivering more than $100 million in no-cost upgrades to homes across the Mohawk Valley and Capital District.
Starting August 1, 2025, NYSERDA is changing how the Empower Program works — all new applications must be submitted directly through NYSERDA, not through contractors like Standard. While we’re no longer able to guide customers through the application process, we remain a NYSERDA-approved contractor and continue to offer rebates and incentives for qualifying projects outside of Empower. We will work with you every step of the way and will be your advocate to help you save money and improve the comfort of your home.
