Job Summary

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive lead generation, increase brand visibility, and contribute to Standard’s monthly and annual goals. This role reports to the CEO and works closely with department leaders to ensure marketing efforts align with the company’s mission of delivering exceptional service and solutions to clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • This role is responsible for developing and implementing targeted, scalable marketing strategies that support revenue growth and reflect the unique needs of the communities we serve.
  • Identifies local market trends, customer needs, and opportunities to position Standard as a trusted leader in the industry.
  • Oversees the creation of integrated campaigns, content, and collateral for Marcy, Albany, and future locations—ensuring each reflects the values and priorities of the communities we serve.
  • Manages media buying and placement across traditional (TV, radio, print) and digital (social, search, display) channels to maximize ROI and audience reach.
  • Oversees and contributes to copywriting, creative direction, and visual design to ensure all messaging and materials are high quality, on brand, and conversion-focused.
  • Manages the department’s annual marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of funds across channels, campaigns, tools, and initiatives.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborates with the Client Happiness Team to ensure marketing supports a seamless client experience and drives lead conversion.
  • Works closely with the Sales Team to align marketing strategies with sales goals, support lead nurturing, and improve performance at every stage of the customer journey.

3. Internal Communications

  • This role is responsible for developing and managing internal communication strategies and materials that promote employee engagement, alignment, and company culture.
  • Oversees messaging for announcements, events, internal updates, and initiatives to ensure timely, consistent, and clear communication across all departments.
  • Partners with leadership to support change management and ensure employees are informed and connected to the company’s mission, values, and priorities.

4. Performance Monitoring & Analytics

  • Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, conversion rates, media performance, internal engagement, and marketing ROI.
  • Uses the ERP system to run reports and build dashboards that support data-informed decision-making and ongoing optimization.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Leads and mentors the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Ensures the team has access to the resources, tools, and training needed to execute campaigns, manage media, support internal comms, and deliver strong creative work.

6. Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manages relationships with external marketing vendors, including creative agencies, media buyers, freelancers, and production partners.
  • Evaluates vendor performance, negotiates contracts, and ensures all third-party work aligns with brand standards, timelines, and budgetary goals.
  • Tracks marketing spend and forecasts needs to ensure projects stay within budget and deliver strong ROI.

7. Brand & Community Engagement

  • Maintains consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all channels and campaigns.
  • Oversees public relations, sponsorships, and community initiatives to build goodwill and increase awareness.

8. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stays current on marketing trends, internal communications best practices, emerging technologies, and creative strategies.
  • Continuously identifies opportunities to improve marketing processes, internal engagement, and overall effectiveness.

Compensation: $90,000-$115,000

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Standard reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
