Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to join our team here at Standard as a HVAC Service Technician. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and take pride in your craft. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties according to specifications and building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation procedures.
- Measure, cut, and fit ductwork and piping using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install electrical wiring and controls for HVAC systems, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Test HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and meet performance standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing components as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC systems, identify the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to coordinate installation projects and ensure timely completion.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from homeowners and ensuring their satisfaction with the installed HVAC systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and service reports.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to kneel, lift 50-70 lbs., and climb ladders.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and navigate rooftops.
- Stamina to work in various weather conditions and environments, including hot attics and tight crawl spaces.
Compensation
$30-$40/hour
