Job Summary
Standard is looking for a full time, 40+ hour a week HVAC team member to join our growing team. While candidates with prior experience are preferred, we will train any person who is willing to work hard and take pride in your craft.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduled
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness, energy efficiency and safety
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
- Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues
- Repair damaged HVAC systems
- Any other duties as needed assigned by HVAC Supervisor
Required Skills / Abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customer.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required.
- Two years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to kneel, lift 50-70 lbs, and climb ladders
- Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
